Playin A Lot is a 1999 own son of Freckles Playboy. Jason and I bought him in the spring of 2004. We were looking for a replacement stallion for our other stallion, Ima Peppy Doctivio. When Playin A Lot came to our little farm in Western Kansas, he brought many changes with him. He bred several of our own mares the first spring here and then we sent him off to the trainer for a few months. He was just about to the point where his trainer felt he was ready to go to a show and we took him to Equifest. Following Equifest, we brought him back home to Western Kansas to begin his first breeding season. Prior to Playin A Lot coming home, we moved a shed from the pasture closer to our house and turned it into the breeding barn. The barn was complete with a horse stalks, a phantom, and a miniature labratory. Jason, his Dad, and Peter spent many hours building corrals. Playin A Lot spent April through July breeding about thirty mares. His first crop colt also hit the ground and we are very pleased with the results. Playin A Lot's colts are athletic and trainable. He returned to the trainer, Nick O'Dell, in July and has begun to earn some money in NCHA. He placed second in the 3000 class in McCook, NE. He recently won the 3ooo class in Emporia, KS and tied for fourth in another showing. We are so glad to see some results from all of this hard work and money invested!
